  2. User Personal HTMLs Folder - Read Me
  3. NOTE : This feature is intended for advanced users and requires knowledge of HTML.
  4.  
  5. Here we give you the opportunity to create your own HTMLs.
  6. If you are familiar with HTML commands and would like to improve your site design,
  7. this feature is for you to customize as you please.
  8. Once you've designed and created the page, link it to your
  9. ICQ Hompeage through the path root given below.
  10.  
  11. How to do it:
  12. 1) Create a web page in any HTML editor or in a NotePad.
  13. 2) Save it as an HTML file in the following location:
  14.  
  15. ../Icq/homepage/root/YOUR_ICQ#/personal/<YOUR_NEW_PAGE.html>
  16.  
  17. If you need to add any images save them in the same root in the IMAGES folder:
  18.  
  19. ../Icq/homepage/root/YOUR_ICQ#/personal/images/YOUR_IMAGE.gif
  20.  
  21. The links to these images must be relative, e.g. <img src="images/YOUR_IMAGE.gif">
  22.  
  23. To enable access to your HTML add a link to it from any of the existing modules  
  24. on your ICQ Homepage: 
  25.  
  26. 1) To add a link to your HTML in the free text part of an existing page, 
  27.    make this link relative, i.e. write only <a href="YOUR_NEW_PAGE.html">...</a>,
  28.    and not "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/YOUR_NEW_PAGE.html", etc.

  30. 2) To add a link to your HTML in Favorite Links page:
  31.    a. Switch to Favorite Links module design;
  32.    b. Click on Add Link or Edit Link button, the new dialog box will appear;
  33.    c. In URL edit box of this dialog write just "YOUR_NEW_PAGE.html" 
  34.  
  35. 3) To add a link to your HTML in a custom table:
  36.    a. Switch to appropriate custom table module design;
  37.    b. Click on Add Item or Edit Item button, the new dialog box will appear;
  38.    c. Activate (if needed) and click the Link button of a desirable sub-item, 
  39.       the new dialog box will appear;
  40.    d. Check the Enter Path radio button of this dialog;
  41.    e. Click on the Browse... button and select a file from the Open File dialog.

  43. NOTE : The program will not let you select an HTML 
  44. that is not located in your Personal folder.
